Fushimi Inari

Last weekend I was able to go to Kyoto and visit the Fushimi Inari shrine.  It is perhaps most famous for its rows of Torii Gates, which line the path up to the shrine itself.  I’m not sure exactly how many there are, but there are at least thousands of these gates along the path.

Anyway, I got up early one morning to go take some photos in the area before it became filled with tourists and before it got unbearably hot.  I still have quite a few pictures to sift through from here, and Kyoto in general.  But here’s at least one for you to check out in the meantime.  Enjoy!
